Job Title: AV Technical Operations Specialist

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the optimal operation of autonomous vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in service engineering, technical support, and operations coordination.

This position involves providing Level 1 troubleshooting support for technical issues encountered during on-site visits. Additionally, the successful candidate will collaborate with specialized teams to escalate complex issues beyond Level 1 for further analysis and resolution.

The AV Technical Operations Specialist will also be responsible for executing routine data collection processes from various sources, including onboard sensors, software systems, and diagnostic tools. This information will be used to identify performance patterns, trends, and potential areas for optimization or preventive maintenance.

Maintenance coordination is another critical aspect of this role. The specialist will conduct regular inspections, diagnostic tests, and scheduled maintenance for all vehicle assets, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.

Documentation and reporting are essential components of this position. The AV Technical Operations Specialist will maintain meticulous records of Level 1 troubleshooting procedures, data collection findings, and maintenance activities performed on the buses.

Operational coordination is also a key responsibility of this role. The specialist will coordinate operational activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and route optimization for the AV fleet.

  • Minimally a diploma in relevant Engineering field with equivalent work experience, with a focus on mechatronics preferred
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in service engineering, technical support, and/or operations coordination
  • Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu) environment
  • Good understanding of Class 4 autonomous buses equipped with SAE Level 4 autonomy, including sensor technology, control systems, and software
  • Proficiency in Level 1 troubleshooting, data collection methodologies, and coordination of maintenance activities for Class 3 and 4 vehicles and electronics equipment
