About the Associate Consultant Role

Associate Consultants (ACs) are vital contributors at Bridgespan, engaging in both qualitative and quantitative analysis that informs the team's recommendations to clients, enhancing their impact.

ACs serve as essential members of project teams, developing the analytical foundations that help identify solutions to clients' most pressing challenges in driving social change.

The Bridgespan Group is committed to the professional development of each Associate Consultant. While most training occurs on the job, ACs also participate in structured training sessions throughout their careers, starting with a comprehensive orientation program. As they advance, ACs engage in training programs designed to deepen their consulting skills. Additionally, Bridgespan ACs partake in a 10-day off-site program with Bain & Company ACs from around the globe. Bridgespan supports each Associate Consultant in building the essential skills for a successful career: tackling complex problems, effectively communicating solutions, and collaborating with senior Consultants and Managers.

Once fully integrated, ACs will adhere to our 50-50 staffing model, allowing them to work on two projects simultaneously with different teams. They will begin as generalists, engaging in a wide variety of projects that span different topics and client profiles, making this position ideal for candidates eager to explore the breadth of our work. ACs will also have opportunities to contribute to research and writing projects, ensuring that insights from Bridgespan's work benefit leaders everywhere. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct qualitative research and analysis through interviews with clients, beneficiaries, domain experts, and government officials.
  • Execute quantitative research and analysis.
  • Perform financial analyses, including forward-looking projections.
  • Enhance the team's work with insights and perspectives.
  • Generate innovative, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Engage in collaborative problem-solving sessions with mid-level and senior clients.
  • Prepare clear and compelling presentation materials.
  • Present analyses and findings effectively.
  • Contribute to Bridgespan's knowledge capture and dissemination efforts.
  • Actively participate in building office culture and team-building initiatives.

ACs should be prepared to work an average of 50-55 hours per week, with variations based on client needs.

Qualifications

  • Strong preference for candidates with up to 3 years of relevant work experience and a strong academic record in undergraduate or postgraduate studies.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and creativity in problem-solving.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication, with fluency in English; proficiency in at least one Southeast Asian language is advantageous.
  • Ability to apply a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) lens in analysis.
