About the Associate Consultant Role

Associate Consultants (ACs) are vital contributors at Bridgespan, performing qualitative and quantitative analyses that inform our recommendations to clients, enhancing their impact.

ACs are integral members of project teams, providing analytical insights that help address clients' most pressing challenges in fostering social change.

The Bridgespan Group is committed to the professional development of each Associate Consultant. While most training occurs on the job, ACs also participate in structured training sessions throughout their tenure, starting with a comprehensive orientation program. As they progress, ACs engage in advanced training focused on refining their consulting skills. Additionally, Bridgespan ACs join a 10-day off-site program with Bain & Company ACs from around the globe. We support each Associate Consultant in building a solid foundation for a successful career, including problem-solving, effective communication, and collaboration with senior Consultants and Managers.

Once fully integrated, ACs will adhere to our 50-50 staffing model, working on two projects simultaneously with different teams. They will begin as generalists, engaging in a wide array of projects that reflect the diverse nature of our work. ACs will also have opportunities to contribute to research and writing initiatives, ensuring that valuable insights from Bridgespan's work are widely shared. We emphasize professional growth and provide a clear career trajectory through regular performance evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct qualitative research and analysis through interviews with clients, beneficiaries, domain experts, and government representatives.
  • Execute quantitative research and analysis.
  • Perform financial analyses, including forward-looking projections.
  • Enhance team efforts with insights and perspectives.
  • Generate innovative, actionable recommendations.
  • Engage in collaborative problem-solving sessions with clients at various levels.
  • Prepare clear and persuasive presentation materials.
  • Present analyses and findings effectively.
  • Contribute to the knowledge capture and dissemination efforts at Bridgespan.
  • Actively participate in fostering office culture and team-building activities.

ACs should be prepared to work an average of 50-55 hours per week, with variations based on client demands.

Qualifications

  • Preference for candidates with up to three years of relevant experience and strong academic credentials.
  • Strong analytical abilities and creativity in problem-solving.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English; proficiency in at least one Southeast Asian language is advantageous.
  • Ability to incorporate a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) perspective in analyses.
