Digital Solutions Engineer - Cloud Center of Excellence

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Digital Solutions Engineer to join our team at the Cloud Center of Excellence. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying digital solutions that meet the evolving needs of our airline customers.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-availability and scalable digital solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build new product features
  • Work closely with squad engineers to deliver high-impact solutions
  • Collaborate with the Cloud CoE team to improve tooling and develop a safe and secure framework for fast deployment of digital solutions
  • Be hands-on and deliver frontend applications and backend platform services
  • Build and operate infrastructure, toolset, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Develop individually to continue to grow and provide training to individuals and other functional groups as needed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years of software development experience
  • Experience in web/mobile application development, networking, or systems software development
  • Experience with cloud platforms, Docker, CI tools, and configuration management tools
  • Experience working with virtualization and clustered orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Experience with infrastructure provisioning tools (Terraform)
  • Experience in Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, NodeJs, or Golang

Additional desirable skills include:

  • Desirable Skills/Experience:
  • Interest in working on frontend and backend services as a Full Stack Engineer
  • Experience working with modern infrastructure and tools
  • Experience running software in DevOps environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills
  • Comfortable with asynchronous communication and being able to work independently while sharing context with team members
  • Experience in Agile software development and a culture of continuous improvement
  • Good knowledge of public APIs for web (e.g., REST APIs and/or API Gateways)
