Observability Systems Specialist

We are seeking an Observability Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Observability Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining observability solutions using the ELK stack.

  • Design and Implementation: Assist in the design and implementation of observability solutions using the ELK stack.
  • System Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot issues across distributed systems.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with development and operations teams to instrument applications and infrastructure for better visibility.
  • Dashboards and Alerts: Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, and reports to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Incident Response: Participate in incident response and root cause analysis to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in observability and monitoring.
  • Legacy Tool Migration: Support the migration from legacy monitoring tools to modern observability platforms.
  • Documentation: Document processes, configurations, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Min 3 years equivalent practical experience in IT.
  • Modern Observability Tools: Hands-on experience with modern observability tools and frameworks is preferred but open to candidates with prior experience in monitoring solutions who are looking to transition into modern observability practices.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Candidate should have a strong foundation in monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Scripting Languages: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and data processing is preferred.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
