Job Title: Television Transmission Specialist

As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of our television broadcast facilities. Your primary goal will be to ensure that live and recorded media are transmitted seamlessly via satellite, fiber, and IP technology.


Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process various feeds through Fiber as well as Satellite, shuffle audio of feed through MMS Client as per house format, and provide live event sources to TX.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of audio-visual (AV) technology, including video formats, multi-language audio tracks, understanding equipment, setups, and troubleshooting for audio and visual systems.
  • Upload the Ingest schedule into the ingest scheduler.
  • Verify that all ingest live feeds are routed properly to the ingest application.
  • Test Audio and Video Quality of Given Links during Live Telecast.
  • Operate and communicate with the core technical facilities for the acquisition of live feed via satellite, fiber, or IP Technology.
  • Monitor server, storage, network switch, Power supply, and other equipment.
  • Perform Quality Control and transcoding of all incoming streams or package transfers to Media Servers.
  • Regularly update the station router as per the event schedule.
  • Identify and resolve issues promptly and take preventative action to restore traffic.
  • Coordinate venue feed management for error-free transmission.
  • Conduct routine checks and maintenance of MCR equipment, including FMS servers, routers, Buzzers, and monitoring tools.
  • Document shift reports, technical incidents, and resolutions for future reference.
  • Ensure the monitoring and adjustment of incoming feed according to broadcasting standards and statutory compliance.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of conducting live events and managing multiple tasks.
  • Fluent English speaker and able to communicate effectively in writing.
  • Able to report technical issues through clear diagrams.
  • Should be able to translate user requirements into technical requirements and technical specifications.
  • Should be able to work in a team and must be deadline-driven.
  • Able to deal with frequent changes and remain calm under pressure.
  • Should be able to analyze problems, determine root causes, and provide solutions.
  • Ability to perform in rotation shifts.
