Job Overview

The Lead of Regional Procurement is a pivotal role that requires strategic leadership and expertise in driving procurement excellence. This position will oversee the setup and management of regional IT procurement teams, ensuring seamless collaboration across functions.

This dynamic leader will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end IT procurement processes, aligning workflows with internal controls and governance needs.

A key focus area will be sourcing major IT transformation projects, engaging early with stakeholders to shape strategies and ensure timely and cost-effective vendor selection.

In addition, this individual will collaborate with IT teams to define standardised IT products and services catalogues, streamlining sourcing to preferred vendors and promoting consistency.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will include realised savings across IT categories, vendor performance metrics, and compliance standards.

Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in IT procurement, with a strong track record in the banking or financial services sector.
  • Strong leadership experience in setting up and managing Asia Pacific IT procurement teams, with a focus on building capabilities and driving delivery.
  • Deep understanding of the banking technology vendor ecosystem, including commercial structures, licensing models, renewal cycles, and key supplier capabilities.
  • Extensive experience sourcing across multiple IT categories, including software (on-premise and SaaS), infrastructure (cloud and on-prem), and IT services.
  • Familiar with Asia-Pacific procurement-related regulations and compliance considerations.
