Clothing Artisan Job Description

As a skilled artisan, you will work closely with customers to create bespoke garments that meet their precise requirements.

  • Design and Tailoring: Collaborate with customers to discuss design, alteration, or repair specifications, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Measurement and Recording: Accurately take customers' measurements using a tape measure and record their details, preferences, and instructions.
  • Modification and Repair: Modify garments according to customer instructions, including altering pant legs, adding linings, removing pockets, and padding fabric. Repair customers' garments by patching tears, sewing holes, and restoring original quality.

Requirements:

  • Education: Primary Education or Equivalent
  • Experience: Proven experience working as a skilled craftsman in the fashion industry
  • Skills: In-depth knowledge of fabrics and clothing construction, proficiency in using a sewing machine, exceptional sewing skills, outstanding customer service skills, good hand-eye coordination, detail-oriented, hardworking
