Technical Lead for AI Engineering

This is a senior role that requires strategic leadership to drive AI capabilities for the Singapore Armed Forces.

You will oversee multiple teams, including research and development, product management, data science, and engineering, to curate and chart AI strategies for the respective centres of excellence.

Your responsibilities include operationalising AI by working with stakeholders, driving technical discussions with the centres of excellence, providing technical guidance for building AI solutions and validating models, leading technical discussions and presenting complex AI solutioning to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, overseeing knowledge management efforts to enable code reusability and efficiency, testing and recommending new AI/ML solutioning, and building collaboration and partnerships.

To succeed in this role, you need to have in-depth understanding of AI/ML and languages like Python, experience with data structures and algorithms, and sufficient industry experience to provide industry expertise. You should also have education in quantitative, scientific and technology disciplines such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science and Analytics, at least 10 years of experience in a relevant field, deep understanding of AI/ML, hands-on experience working with current AI tools, strong leadership traits, good planning abilities, negotiation and communication skills, ability to manage complexity and uncertainties, and ability to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.

This role embodies the mission of MINDEF and the Singapore Armed Forces to enhance Singapore's peace and security through deterrence and diplomacy, and should these fail, to secure a swift and decisive victory over the aggressor.

As a DXO, you work together with your military counterparts to contribute to MINDEF/SAF's mission and ensure Singapore's security and stability.
