A leading global energy company is seeking a Demurrage and Claims Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in demurrage, claims handling, or chartering operations within the oil trading or shipping industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and management of demurrage and voyage-related claims in line with charter party and sales contract terms.
  • Calculation of laytime and analysis of voyage documentation.
  • Close coordination with shipowners, brokers, and internal teams to resolve claims efficiently.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will hold a degree in Maritime Studies or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in demurrage, claims handling, or chartering operations.

Strong understanding of oil trading operations, charter party contracts, and laytime calculations is essential. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment is key to success in this role.
