Leadership Role in Speech and Language Pathology

The Director of Speech and Language Pathology is responsible for leading the department's operations, setting key performance indicators, and driving patient care and service excellence. This individual focuses on managerial work and performs clinical, educational, and research tasks.

The responsibilities include:

  • Managing departmental resources and risks
  • Ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements
  • Leading change management at an organizational level by implementing new policies
  • Ensuring sufficient manpower for clinical services

This individual should possess strong leadership skills, effective communication, and be strategic, fair, decisive, and insightful.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk assessment and management
  • Workforce planning and manpower projection
  • Audits on department systems and processes
  • Reviews and refinement of workplace health and safety audits

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Speech and Language Pathology/Therapy recognized under Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), Singapore
  • Full registration under AHPC
  • At least 10 years in a leadership position with general management experience
  • Experience in a Social Service Agency will be an added advantage
