Job Title: Adolescent Support Specialist

The Youth Care Worker plays a vital role in delivering trauma-informed care and supervision to female adolescents who have faced abuse or neglect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate a safe and supportive environment for residents to thrive
  • Assist residents with daily challenges and ensure their welfare and safety
  • Promote positive relationships among residents and serve as a mentor/role model
  • Respond promptly and effectively to crises or conflicts
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Address the physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, educational, and social needs of residents

Requirements:

Experience working with at-risk youth, proficiency in basic counseling skills, knowledge of common issues and disorders associated with trauma and abuse, willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.
