Cloud Security Professional Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of cloud-based applications infrastructure under administrative supervision. This position requires a DevOps Specialist who can deploy, automate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve systems that keep backend infrastructure running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deploying, automating, maintaining, and managing AWS cloud-based production system to ensure availability, performance, scalability, and security of production systems.
  • Building, releasing, and configuring management of production systems.
  • Pre-production Acceptance Testing to assure the quality of products/services.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving across platforms and application domains.
  • Suggesting architecture improvements and recommending process improvements.
  • Ensuring critical system security using best-in-class cloud security solutions.
  • Evaluating new technology options and vendor products.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent technical discipline.
  • 3+ years' experience with a broad range of AWS technologies (e.g., EC2, RDS, ELB, EBS, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS) to develop and maintain an Amazon AWS-based cloud solution with emphasis on best practice cloud security.
  • Experience in EKS, CICD platform Gitlab, Github, Azure DevOps.
  • AWS Certified Solution Architect (Associate) preferred.
  • Conversant with infrastructure definition tools such as Cloud Formation and Terraform.
  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24x7 uptime Amazon AWS environment including automation experience with configuration management tools.
  • Scripting skills: Strong scripting and automation skills.
  • Operating Systems: Windows and Linux system administration.
  • Monitoring Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues.
  • Experience with other Clouds such as Azure or GCP considered.
