**Job Title:** Chief Data Protection Officer

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about data protection and has a proven track record of driving continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead ad-hoc projects, conduct reviews to ensure privacy and data protection compliance, and investigate data incidents. Key responsibilities include implementing global policies and developing local guidance in data protection and privacy, conducting reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, investigating data incidents and providing relevant advice and remedial actions, reviewing data protection controls in technology risk assessments, supporting legal and risk management processes around privacy and data protection issues, developing training material and delivering training on data protection and privacy, and assisting with periodic internal and external reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing global policies and developing local guidance in data protection and privacy.
  • Conducting reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Investigating data incidents and providing relevant advice and remedial actions.
  • Reviewing data protection controls in technology risk assessments.
  • Supporting legal and risk management processes around privacy and data protection issues.
  • Developing training material and delivering training on data protection and privacy.
  • Assisting with periodic internal and external reporting.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 5+ years of experience in a risk-related role, with a strong focus on data privacy and protection. You should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong project management skills and ability to guide junior team members are also essential. A high level of resilience and positive work attitude, with willingness to learn and deliver timely results, are required.
