Key Responsibilities:

Developing novel algorithms and statistical models to support precision medicine initiatives.

BUILDING PRODUCTION-LEVEL BIOINFORMATICS PIPELINES using Docker and AWS Step Functions.

Designing databases to compile vast amounts of genomic and diagnostic information.

Evaluating research needs and leading project scoping efforts.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and enhance turnaround times.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree, Master's degree or PhD in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology/Computer Science or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in NGS data analysis.
  • Proven expertise in developing bioinformatics algorithms or software independently.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages (Python, R, Unix shell scripts).
  • A good understanding of biology, algorithms and statistics.
  • Strong self-motivation, an inquisitive mind, and a keen interest in creating solutions for real-time healthcare challenges.
