Role Overview

  • As a Junior Risk Management Specialist, you will play a vital role in the underwriting process by evaluating risk and determining the terms and conditions for new and renewal Property & Casualty insurance policies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mind, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work effectively with a team.

A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is required, along with at least 2 years of underwriting support experience.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about the insurance industry and has a passion for risk management.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluating Risk: Assessing loss history, claims data, and other risk-related factors to determine policy terms and conditions.
  • Policy Review: Reviewing and analyzing applications, policy endorsements, and other documents to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with underwriting teams to assess facultative reinsurance needs and coordinate within company guidelines.
  • Communication: Responding to inquiries from brokers, agents, and clients regarding policy details, terms, and conditions.
  • Data Management: Maintaining and updating underwriting files and databases.
  • Performance Monitoring: Assisting in monitoring the overall portfolio performance and identifying emerging risks or trends.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of underwriting support experience.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in database management.
