Job Title: Data Governance Lead

This is a senior-level role that will lead the design, implementation, and execution of an enterprise-wide data governance framework.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building a Group Data Governance Office (DGO) and ensuring that data across all entities, regions, and functions is consistent, trusted, and aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Governance Strategy & Operating Model: Define and lead the group-wide data governance strategy, policies, and roadmap. Establish the Data Governance Office (DGO) and governance operating model (Domain Owners, Data Stewards, Data Users). Build accountability and ownership structures to ensure data quality and consistency across all business units.
  • Data Definition Alignment & Metric Standardization: Develop and maintain an enterprise data dictionary and business glossary. Lead initiatives to align KPI definitions and reporting metrics across Finance, Risk, Product, Marketing, Operations. Ensure a Single Source of Truth (SSOT) for business reporting and analytics.
  • Data Quality & Stewardship: Define and enforce data quality standards, processes, and monitoring mechanisms. Drive continuous improvement programs to enhance data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Empower Data Stewards across domains to enforce governance and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Risk, Compliance, IT, Product, Marketing, and Operations to embed governance into business processes. Facilitate cross-department governance councils to resolve metric discrepancies and align reporting. Promote data literacy and governance awareness throughout the company.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Support: Work closely with Compliance and IT to ensure adherence to relevant data regulations (GDPR, PDPA, MAS). Support regulatory reporting, audits, and risk management activities related to data governance. Ensure governance practices are aligned with enterprise-wide security and compliance frameworks.
