Job Description
As a seasoned professional in network operations, you will oversee the day-to-day management of our Global Submarine Network Operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our organization's network infrastructure.

About the Role
This position requires a highly skilled individual who can lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.

Main Responsibilities
- Establish and lead all Network operational activities within Global Submarine Network Operations
- Implement and establish Network and Operational Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) goals and objectives both for Network performance and team members
- Own Network, Service and Customer performance management reporting and Service Level Objectives (SLO) goals
- Manage Google Submarine Network operational improvement projects, cross-functional initiatives and outcomes

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (IT, Computer Systems and Networking, Telecommunications, Electronics) or equivalent practical experience
- 10 years of experience in International network operations or a related field
- 7 years of experience leading a technical team
- Experience with OSS/EMS network monitoring systems and software
- Experience in Marine Cable Operations, in cable planning and repair coordination in a Network Operations Center/Context (NOC)
- Knowledge of Optical Transport network protocols, systems, platforms topologies, and technologies
