About the Role

We are seeking a Senior International Relations Specialist to join our team at Careers@Gov. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing policy recommendations, planning and executing events, and collaborating with international organisations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of IR policies and strategies, taking into consideration views and interests of various Divisions and Ministries;
  • Analyse aviation developments/policies around the world that could impact Singapore;
  • Drive engagement strategies for assigned regions;
  • Evaluate efforts to contribute to international civil aviation, including at the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO);
  • Support Permanent Missions in ICAO and CAAS Divisions on positions to be taken on ICAO Working Papers;
  • Develop and coordinate engagement plans with Permanent Missions to engage and partner key stakeholders and decision-makers;
  • Foster networks with key partners and stakeholders locally and internationally;
  • Plan and execute activities to profile Singapore's standing in international civil aviation;
  • Organise events, including high-level visits by international guests and official trips by CAAS principals.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and presentation skills;
  • Strong networking skills, engaging people at all levels;
  • Strong team player with keen interest in international affairs and policy-making;
  • Strong analytical, research, and organisational skills;
  • Self-motivated and independent.

What We Offer

Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance, with potential for permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal. Your appointment designation will be commensurate with your relevant work experience.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
