The Airspace Mobility Solutions (AMS) business is a key player in the Global Business Unit Land and Air Systems. We provide leading-edge Air Traffic Management (ATM), Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM), Security and Digital Aviation solutions for the Commercial and Defence sectors. In Singapore, our focus is on delivering and supporting two ATM solutions: TopSKY-ATC(HE) and LORADS-III.

This role will initially support the TopSKY-ATC (HE) product. As a Technical Systems Specialist, you will engage with stakeholders to prepare and deliver requirement and design changes, ensuring customer needs and project/bid cost targets are met.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to designing and developing solutions to meet customer requirements, maintaining system functional baseline and architecture integrity
  • Define solutions that balance requirements, cost, schedule, and risk, meeting customer needs
  • Prepare Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Problem Change Requests (PCRs)
  • Create requirements and manage traceability using DOORS
  • Engage with transverse teams related to the function
  • Participate in technical reviews and working groups as required
  • Proactively participate in PI planning
  • Support Squad members (software, integration, and verification)
  • Promote knowledge sharing, capturing work for reuse across projects
  • Follow Thales processes and practices, contributing to their improvement

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Postgraduate studies in Systems Engineering (desirable)
  • Experience in Air Traffic Management (ATM) is mandatory
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering Lifecycle and relevant standards (e.g., ISO/IEC15288)
  • Knowledge of product development methodologies, particularly iterative/agile development
  • Knowledge of Safety, Security, and Human Factors standards and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve effective outcomes in multidiscipline, multicultural environments
  • Coaching/knowledge-sharing skills
  • Capability to manage various stakeholders with different objectives
  • Positive attitude, excellent interpersonal and motivational skills
  • Comfort in managing complexity
  • Sound judgment and independent decision-making capability
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
