Job Description

As a seasoned procurement professional, you will be responsible for the strategic sourcing and procurement of bunkers for vessels. This critical role requires a deep understanding of the marine industry, with a focus on bunker operations and related performance metrics.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing overall bunker supplier evaluation processes, ensuring quality, quantity, and operational excellence.
  • Identifying and resolving all bunker-related issues, including those related to suppliers, vessels, and logistics.
  • Coordinating with Master/Operations Managers/Superintendents to meet vessel specifications and requirements.
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders, including suppliers, vessels, agents, and internal teams.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or university degree in logistics, shipping, economics, or a related field (desired).
  • Minimum 6-8 years relevant working experience in physical bunker and fuel oil procurement for vessels/ships.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks.
  • Reliable track record in shipping industry, with excellent communication and social skills.
  • Team player with strong organizational and structured approach.
  • Attention to detail and good negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in IMOS software an advantage.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese required for effective communication with business partners.
Requirements
