Research Associate Opportunity

Description:

The role of a Research Associate is critical in supporting the success of our research projects. As a liaison between the Principal Investigator and various departments, you will ensure adherence to protocol procedures and facilitate effective communication.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Principal Investigators and site-PIs to coordinate research activities.
  • Communicate with various departments for clinical research procedures.
  • Screen and recruit suitable candidates as research participants.
  • Explain protocols to research participants and obtain informed consent.
  • Contact and schedule appointments for research subjects within specified time frames.
  • Perform centrifugation of blood specimens and send them to the laboratory.
  • Trace and return case notes, blood results, and other required data.
  • Maintain documentation of patient reimbursement logs and electronic case report forms.
  • Document source information for each patient according to protocol requirements.
  • Identify, document, and submit protocol deviations to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) following hospital and sponsor procedures.
  • Inform PIs and collaborators on any adjustments based on protocol changes.
  • Complete, report, and follow up on unanticipated problems involving risk to subjects and adverse events or serious adverse events.
  • Collaborate with the in-house Research Database IT Specialist on extraction of patient medical records and data mining.
  • Travel to research participants' locations may be required.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
  • Experience as a Research Assistant is preferred.
