Risk Management Strategist for NTUC Health Co-operative Ltd.

The Senior Manager, Risk Management & Data Protection plays a pivotal role in supporting the business objectives of strategic growth, enhanced customer experience, improved risk management, and operational efficiency of NTUC Health Co-operative Ltd.
This role is responsible for administering Risk Management Committee meetings and updates to the Audit Risk Committee. The candidate will report to the Head, Finance, Procurement, and Risk.
Main Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing an overarching risk management process for the organization
- Regularly reviewing internal risk policy and ensuring compliance with new legislation
- Fostering risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training on risk management principles and raising awareness of risk within the organization
- Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective development and implementation of Risk policies, PDPA Governance, procedures, and compliance to legislation
- Designing monitoring systems to maintain a level of risk below established threshold
- Risk reporting tailored to the relevant audience
- Educating the board of directors about the most significant risks to the business; ensuring business heads understand the risks that might affect their departments; ensuring individuals understand their own accountability for individual risks
- Managing the regular review and improvements to business continuity plans to limit risks
- Implementing health and safety measures and ensuring adequate insurance coverage
- Conducting policy and compliance audits, which will include liaising with internal and external auditors
- Reviewing any new major contracts or internal business proposals to mitigate risk for the organization
- Undertaking the appointment of Data Protection Officer (DPO) for NTUC Health Co-operative Ltd
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Extensive risk management and governance experience (minimum 10 years) including definition and implementation of operational and business risk management-related policies and procedures
- Understanding risk control framework and operational risk management, drafting policies and procedures
- Handling and monitoring PDPA activity (including training and business engagement)
- Acting as DPO and putting in data governance framework in the organisation
- Handling Workplace Safety
- Effective collaboration across functional teams
- Interaction with stakeholders of varying seniority
- Managing a small team, coaching, and providing direction to the team and the organisation to achieve organisation's objectives and as well as individual's career development
- Regulatory Compliance/Compliance experience is preferred
We offer a competitive salary range of SGD $120,000 - SGD $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
