Business Analyst - Fund Accounting Specialist

This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance fund accounting processes and improve data quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in Fund Accounting and Transfer Agent processes for system implementations, testing, and user support;
  • Collaborate with business users and IT to analyze, document, and improve fund accounting workflows and reporting logic;
  • Review and validate data stored in system tables, ensuring accurate mapping for fund reporting;
  • Write and run SQL queries to extract, validate, and troubleshoot data used in fund accounting reports (NAV, holdings, P&L, etc.);
  • Work closely with data engineering and operations teams to resolve functional issues related to fund data;
  • Participate in UAT and regression testing of fund accounting modules and enhancements;
  • Provide functional documentation, including process flows, BRDs (Business Requirement Documents), and data dictionaries.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field;
  • Proficient in Multifonds System, NAV calculation, portfolio valuation, reconciliation, P&L attribution, expense accruals, and corporate actions;
  • Working knowledge of investor servicing, subscriptions/redemptions, AML/KYC compliance, and trade settlements;
  • Ability to write basic SQL queries for data validation, troubleshooting, and reporting;
  • Understanding of how fund data is stored in system tables and generating reports using SQL or reporting tools;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Positive, flexible, team player who can work independently.
Desirable Skills:
  • Familiarity with custodian data flows, reconciliations, and trade processing;
  • Knowledge of financial instruments: equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX.
