Job Summary

The Cargo Quality and Systems Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the premier level of cargo handling and service to customers system-wide.

This key position is responsible for implementing and monitoring ground systems, centralised load control operations, and auditing processes to guarantee seamless cargo management.

Achieving this requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a quality mindset and ability to develop and validate procedures.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong communication skills and experience in airport operations, including overseas postings or airline cargo handling and warehousing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ground Systems for Cargo Operations:
    • Implementation of ground systems such as Altea FM (Mobile & JFE) etc.
    • Monitor system messaging and data quality between SIA systems and service partners and providers.
    • Implementation, monitoring and audit of Centralised Load Control (CLC) operations for Freighter Fleets.
    • System user admin for Altea FM (Freighter) cargo users
  • Mishandlings and Cargo Handling Irregularities Monitoring:
    • Investigate and recommend corrective/preventative measures
    • Review with stations on recurring mishandlings and irregularities to develop action plan to reduce occurrences
  • CLC, Regulatory and Line Station Audits:
  • Follow up with CLC and Stations on Service Performance Improvements:
    • Follow up with CLC and stations to implement corrective/preventative measures
    • Assist in the preparation for regulatory audits e.g. CAAS/IOSA
    • Assist in the preparation for industry standards' compliance audits, e.g. IATA CEIV
  • Enterprise Information Management (EIM) Data Representative for Cargo Ops Data.
  • Cargo Audits:
    • Pharmaceutical and Perishable Cargo Audits.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a university.
    • 5 years of experience in airport operations including overseas posting or airline cargo handling and warehousing operations experience.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Quality mindset and able to develop and validate procedures.
    • Team player and able to interact well with various stakeholders.
    • Good communication skills – written, oral and active listening.
