Storage Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Storage Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work on the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise storage infrastructure.


About the Role

The successful candidate will be based in Singapore and responsible for managing the service lifecycle of enterprise storage systems from various vendors such as Huawei, Hitachi, Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, IBM, and Brocade. The role requires close collaboration with architecture and technology teams to engineer and deliver innovative storage solutions that drive technology transformation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Support: Provide timely operational support for the storage infrastructure, including service management, vendor management, lifecycle management, product deployment, administration, and support escalation of enterprise storage systems.
  • Partnerships: Partner with infrastructure and application teams to deliver storage solutions, projects, and drive migration to strategic storage platforms.
  • Incident Management: Take ownership of storage-related incidents till resolution, conduct impact analysis, root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
  • Service Outages: Ensure all service outages are restored in a timely manner and adhere to the Fix-Once principle.
  • Change Management: Lead and review storage system changes to ensure smooth execution and compliance to the change management framework.
  • Performance Analysis: Conduct performance analysis, tuning, automate system operations, and capacity planning.
  • Process Improvement: Perform proactive review of processes, improve, automate, and harmonize them.
  • Operational Issues: Conduct deep dive analysis of operational issues, identify improvements to mitigate risks, and develop appropriate control measures.
  • Periodic Controls: Coordinate the execution of periodic controls and reviews, including the development of metrics, reports, and standards.
  • Audit and Compliance: Support audit and compliance activities, manage department corrective actions, provide input to the risk assessment process.

Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in managing enterprise storage infrastructure.
  • Skills: Strong technical knowledge of storage systems, networks, and operating systems.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
