Senior Nursing Executive

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nursing Executive to lead our nursing team in delivering exceptional patient care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management of assigned wards/departments, ensuring compliance with nursing standards, and leading quality assurance activities to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of registered nurses, enrolled nurses, nursing assistants, and healthcare assistants.
  • Ensure compliance with all nursing standards as stipulated by regulatory bodies.
  • Lead quality assurance activities, plan, conduct periodic quality audits, and follow up with corrective improvements.
  • Maintain written policies and standard operating procedures that guide nursing practices.
  • Provide direct patient care to ensure adherence to established standards.
  • Ensure smooth transitions of residents from acute to chronic care and back to the community where feasible.
  • Evaluate and ensure an appropriate skill mix and adequate manpower resourcing for all shifts and service types within their purview.
  • Direct and facilitate staff development through in-house training, approved online learning, or formal education opportunities.
  • Guide orientation/induction programs and preceptorship for new staff members.
  • Prepare rosters and daily staff assignments for the ward/departments.
  • Support the Senior Nursing Manager in nursing home management and deputize in their absence.
  • Collaborate with Allied Health professionals on preventive and rehabilitative programs for residents.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A locally trained registered nurse with an advanced diploma in nursing/bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent preferred.
  • Foreign-trained registered nurses with a degree or diploma in nursing and board pass from the Professional Regulation Council (PRC).
  • Registration with the Singapore Nursing Board.
