Middleware Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Middleware Engineer to join our team. As a Middleware Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and supporting middleware technologies to ensure availability, stability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support middleware platforms such as WebSphere, JBoss, WildFly, Tomcat, Apache, and Kafka.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, problems, and change requests related to middleware technologies.
  • Partner with development and business teams to deliver projects that leverage middleware platforms.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation and performance tuning of middleware systems.
  • Engage in DevOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, compliance) to ensure efficient and reliable delivery of middleware-based applications.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience with middleware platforms: WebSphere, JBoss, WildFly, Tomcat, Apache, Kafka.
  • Strong skills in Linux/Unix/Windows, scripting (Java, Shell, Python, PowerShell), and monitoring tools (Nagios, OMI, ServiceNow, Geneos).
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, Ansible, Elasticsearch, Rundeck, Git; cloud (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes.
  • Able to work shifts and on-call rotation.
