Job Title: Music Educator

Overview
The position of Music Educator is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and enthusiastic individual to join our team in delivering high-quality music education to students of all ages and skill levels.

Key Responsibilities
• Teach music lessons to students one-to-one and in small groups, adapting to the needs and learning styles of each student
• Manage and maintain a safe and well-equipped learning environment for students, ensuring their physical and emotional safety at all times
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver engaging music programs, including performances, recitals, and other events
• Develop and implement customised lesson plans and teaching materials, incorporating technology and multimedia resources as needed
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and guidance to help students achieve their musical goals
• Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, promoting a positive and supportive school community

Required Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in music or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching music to students of all ages and skill levels
• Demonstrated ability to teach in one-to-one and group settings, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances
• Proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument, with the ability to teach a variety of instruments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students, parents, and colleagues
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands
• Passion for music education and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential

Desirable Skills
• Ability to play multiple musical instruments, including keyboard, violin, and piano
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office software, particularly Word and Excel
• Experience working with diverse student populations, including those with special needs or English language learners
• Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation, with experience developing and implementing music programs
• Fluency in second languages, particularly Spanish or Mandarin
