Job Description
">We are seeking a skilled High Voltage Substation Technical Specialist to provide technical construction support and oversee the construction, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in the field.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles and industry standards. They will be responsible for:
">- Providing technical guidance, troubleshooting, and support for electrical systems at project sites.
- Assisting in the practical implementation of electrical designs and specifications, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Ensuring that electrical systems and installations comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Contributing to project documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Working effectively with project teams, operations staff, and subcontractors to ensure project success.
- Conducting site visits to assess project feasibility, identify potential issues, and develop solutions.
- Troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues during project execution, ensuring operational reliability and safety.
- Participating in quality control and assurance activities to ensure that electrical systems meet project requirements and industry standards.
- Assisting in identifying and mitigating potential risks related to electrical systems and installations.
- Providing technical guidance and training to project teams and operations staff, as needed.
Requirements
Candidate must be bi-lingual in English and Mandarin. They should be based in Taiwan and have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or a similar field. A minimum of 5 years' experience with high voltage substation projects is required.
Key skills and qualifications include:
">- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of relevant local and international codes, standards, and regulations.
- Computer/IT knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project tool, conference call, and Internet skills.
