Job Title: Site Quality Assurance Specialist

Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all works comply fully with contract drawings and documents, as well as approved shop drawings. This includes reviewing and checking contractor’s works to ensure statutory compliance and providing full-time supervision of structural works in large building projects.

Key responsibilities include reporting progress to the project team and evaluating contractor performance, working closely with architects and engineers to ensure regulatory requirements are met, implementing quality & safety assurance systems, interpreting drawings and contract documents, resolving site and technical issues, and conducting regular site checks on contractors.

In addition, the ideal candidate will assist in preparing defects snagging lists, monitoring rectification works, and ensuring all defects are satisfactorily rectified. They will also provide guidance on method statements and working procedures, ensuring contractors proceed in accordance with approved plans.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of site experience in supervising various types of developments
  • Good knowledge of conservation trade and restoration techniques, experience in GFRC construction is an added advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Able to work overtime when required
  • Possess a complete understanding of local regulations/codes for building projects and complying with BCA's criteria for buildability and safety assurance systems
  • Accredited with the IES-ACES Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC)
