Job Overview

This is a role that involves planning, developing, and designing new generation sports facilities. The successful candidate will work with the team to execute and control project development procedures, including reviewing feasibility studies, conceptualizing sport facilities, and implementing them.

The ideal candidate will have experience in architecture, building/construction management, or project management, as well as relevant working experience in the architecture and building industry. They should also have strong stakeholder engagement and project leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies for new sports facilities development and redevelopment proposals. This includes evaluating proposals, preparing cost estimates, and consulting various organizations regarding sports facilities planning.
  2. Responsible for the planning proposals, conceptualisation and development of the Sports Facilities Master Plan (SFMP) and Renovation Master Plan that aims to integrate all issues pertaining to sports facilities proposals and implementations under one unified and strategic framework.
  3. Support the successful delivery of development projects within schedule, performance, and budget. The responsibility includes leading project meetings with user groups, technical consultants, and stakeholders to achieve the desired overall project outcomes; coordinating with all internal and external stakeholders; supporting the selection and appointment of technical consultants and contractors throughout the project management lifecycle; preparing procurement-related documents for projects; ensuring knowledge management of project tender documents, processes, and timelines; custodian of the technical master construction schedule; and reviewing and aligning all technical design drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Background in Architecture, Building/Construction Management, Project Management, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in the architecture and building industry.
  • Experience in government procurement and other financial procedures and administration in public sector development projects would be an advantage.
  • Experience in managing 2 to 3 projects concurrently.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and project leadership capabilities.
