What you will be working on:
You will report to the Head of Division, Infrastructure Development, Sport Infrastructure Group (SIG). In this role, you will be part of the team to plan, develop, design, and construct a new generation of sports facilities through careful management and control of project development procedures. This includes providing leadership, guidance, and advice to project teams on reviewing feasibility studies, conceptualizing sport facilities, planning technical requirements, evaluating technical proposals, and implementing the sport facilities. Your responsibilities include:
Carrying out feasibility studies, developing planning proposals and guidelines, evaluating proposals, and consulting various organizations regarding sports facilities planning, Dual Use Scheme (DUS), Sport-in-Precinct (SIP), and related subjects.
Planning proposals, conceptualization, and development of the Sports Facilities Master Plan (SFMP) and Rejuvenation Master Plan to integrate all issues related to sports facilities proposals and implementations under a unified plan supporting SportSG's Vision 2030.
Heading the community engagement team as Secretariat, performing central project facilitation and administrative roles, overseeing regional town play fields provision, and rotating the role according to the Sport Infrastructure Group Value Chain process.
Supporting administrative and financial tasks to facilitate smooth operation of the Infrastructure Development Team.
Supporting project delivery within schedule, performance, and budget, including coordination with engineering consultants and contractors, managing project team members, ensuring schedule adherence, reviewing design drawings for compliance, and resolving technical discrepancies.
What we are looking for:
We seek self-motivated individuals who value integrity, teamwork, and pride in providing excellent service to stakeholders and the community. Candidates should be sport advocates, living an active lifestyle. The ideal candidate will possess:
A background in Architecture, Building/Construction Management, or Project Management.
At least 10 years of relevant experience in the Architecture and Building Industry.
Experience in government procurement, financial procedures, and facility operations is advantageous.
Experience managing 6 to 8 projects concurrently.
The level of offer will depend on experience and track record. Successful candidates will be offered a 2 or 3-year contract initially. About Sport Singapore
