Marine Firefighting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Firefighting Specialist to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing marine firefighting systems and equipment on board vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair marine firefighting systems and equipment including fire alarms, suppression systems, and fire extinguishers
- Perform annual inspections and testing to ensure equipment is functioning properly
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with firefighting equipment and systems
- Ensure compliance with International maritime regulations and standards (e.g. SOLAS, IMO)
- Collaborate with vessel crews and ship staff to ensure effective maintenance and operation of firefighting systems
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in maintaining firefighting systems and equipment, preferably in the marine industry
- Knowledge of international maritime regulations and standards
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced marine environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Certification:
- Certification in marine firefighting system maintenance or a related field is an advantage
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 9:00AM – 6:00PM; Saturday: 9:00AM – 1:00PM
Pay:
$2800 - $4000 a month
Location:
Location: Marine vessel assignment/various shifts as required
