Hygiene Standards Specialist

The role of Hygiene Program Manager plays a pivotal part in upholding high standards of cleanliness and safety within an operational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain effective hygiene policies and procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Auditing and Compliance: Conduct regular hygiene audits to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address any issues, ensuring ongoing compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Training and Education: Train and educate staff on hygiene best practices, including proper handwashing techniques, cleaning methods, and waste disposal procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all hygiene equipment and tools are properly maintained and calibrated to guarantee their effectiveness.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate and report any incidents of foodborne illness or other hygiene-related incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Requirements:
- Education: A bachelor's degree in public health, environmental health, hotel management & catering science, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 3-4 years of experience in managing hygiene programs.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of local and national hygiene regulations and laws.
- Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage a team of hygiene technicians.
- Ability: Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
- Proficiency: Proficiency in using hygiene equipment and technologies.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve hygiene-related issues and incidents.
