Policy Escalations Analyst

About the Job

The Policy Escalations Analyst role is designed to ensure seamless enforcement of company policies across our global operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring and responding to precursors of harm and violence.

This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to review content against our policies, provide recommendations, and conduct deep-dive investigations on high-profile cases. Your primary goal will be to identify opportunities to optimize processes and increase efficiency in policy enforcement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Policy, Product, Ops, and Engineering teams to address policy and enforcement gaps
  • Conduct deep-dive investigations on high-profile cases and propose mitigation plans
  • Monitor global events, elections, and emerging trends, and disseminate guidelines to operation teams as needed
  • Identify opportunities to optimize processes and increase efficiency
  • Participate in post-incident/crisis reviews to identify root causes and lessons learned opportunities
Requirements

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-4+ years of relevant experience in content policy enforcement and/or crisis management
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, participating in an on-call rotation
  • Full professional proficiency in English; and one of the following languages preferred: German, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Italian, Hebrew, Arabic, Farsi, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Telegu, Japanese, Thai, Mandarin Chinese
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (including Sheets); experience working with SQL and large language models a plus
  • Stellar business judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Experience working within a globally distributed team; experience in a tech or social media company highly desirable

Candidates must demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for protecting user safety and freedom of expression, and have a good understanding of online safety, privacy, and freedom of expression.
