Job Description

The role of an HSEQ Manager involves overseeing the implementation and maintenance of health, safety, and environmental systems across the organization. This includes ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to mitigate risks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of the Safety Management System, including tasks related to manuals and fleet notices.
  • Investigating accidents and incidents, and providing recommendations to prevent recurrence.
  • Developing and enhancing Cyber Security of Vessel ICT systems.
  • Monitoring and analyzing Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Additionally, the HSEQ Manager will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and analyzing HSEQ scores, fleet audit and inspection outcomes, and advising on measures to improve fleet performance.
  • Assisting with HSEQ and certification processes, including smartPAL HSEQ, Quality Document Management System (QDMS), and day-to-day crewing issues.
  • Supporting collaboration with various stakeholders to plan for future deployments and unification efforts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Deck Class 1 Certificate of Competency.
  • At least 10 years' shore experience in a major ship management company or oil major.
  • Good knowledge of ISM, ISPS, MLC, TMSA, SIRE, and ISO standards.
