- This position involves leading the installation of complex engineering projects in the Railways, metro, and transportation fields.
- You will be responsible for managing teams to ensure timely delivery, quality of work, and budget adherence.
- The successful candidate will have experience with CAD checking, design engineer calculations, and drawings.
- Able to work according to a time-work schedule and ensure deadlines are met.
- This role requires excellent English language skills (read, written, spoken).
- Willingness to work night shifts and on-call duty is required.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure production on Installation engineering activities aligns with Project strategy.
- Manage teams to reach project targets (delivery, quality of works, budget).
- Apply Hitachi Rail Strategy, Policies, and Technical Standards (including local regulations and professional standards).
- Apply HSE policy and standards to installation works.
- Manage own environment at a remote location in terms of cleanliness, organization, workload, risk assessments.
- Complete and submit relevant reports, backups, and signed documentation upon completion of work.
- Provide technical advice and support remotely or in the office as directed by the Installation Manager.
- Offer effective, efficient technical support assistance and service to customers via inbound calling, online chat, support portals, and ticketing.
- Report progress on delivery of documents as per schedule.
- Support Installation Manager for review of Installation Engineering activities, including Risk identification and mitigation proposal.
- Interface with stakeholders for getting needed data and delivering Installation Engineering documentation/drawings.
- Identify and report on issues with documents and drawings delivered.
- Prepare and execute Installation Engineering activities (Site survey, review drawings, ...) in conformance with Hitachi Rail policies and standards, applicable regulations, and technical standards.
- Coordinate and implement customer installation activities in a time-sensitive manner.
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of experience in site installation engineering for complex projects in Railways, metro, and transportation fields.
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Telecommunication engineering, electronic engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, Civil/mechanical engineering.
- Experience with CAD - checking of design engineer's calculations and drawings.
- Able to work according to the time work schedule and ensure deadlines are set and met.
- Main work will be on-site – 6 days in the week.
- Excellent command of the English language (read, written, spoken).
- Will to work in night shifts and on call duty.
- Positive work attitude, good planning, and organization skills.
