Job Description

Forensic Analyst Role Overview

As a Forensic Analyst, you will play a crucial role in assessing the integrity and reliability of financial statements, corporate records, and accounting systems. You will conduct thorough reviews and analyses of allegations presented in adverse equity research reports and employ advanced investigative techniques to identify potential fraudulent conduct.

You will highlight financial crime and fraud risks to investments from differences in market perception of financial statements versus the objective, underlying reality. Your focused approach in uncovering irregularities, fraud, and hidden financial risks will be meticulous in analyzing financial data, understanding the context of transactions, and applying legal and accounting principles.

You will provide clear, evidence-based insights that can be used in dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, and risk management. Additionally, you will give opinions on the suitability of investments from an accounting point of view and assist due diligence teams in their assessment of private market investments' financial statements, accounting, and financial reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the integrity and reliability of financial statements, corporate records, and accounting systems
  • Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of allegations presented in adverse equity research reports
  • Employ advanced investigative techniques to identify potential fraudulent conduct
  • Highlight financial crime and fraud risks to investments
  • Provide clear, evidence-based insights for dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, and risk management
Qualifications:

Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) is required. A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in forensic accounting or transaction services is necessary. Exceptional research and investigative skills are essential, along with meticulous attention to detail.

Strong collaboration skills are required to work with multiple teams across different locations. Excellent communication and investigative report drafting capabilities are also necessary to impart technically well-judged but commercial opinions to senior investment analysts and portfolio managers.

Benefits:

We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment, flexible working arrangements, and opportunities for professional growth and development. Our teams come into the office four days per week to harness the benefits of in-person collaboration, but have the flexibility to choose which days they work from home and adjust this arrangement as situational needs arise.

Company Values:

Our company values are Prudence, Respect, Integrity, Merit, and Excellence (PRIME). We strive to inspire and make an impact by being anchored on these values in our day-to-day decisions.
