Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our cost management efforts.

As a Senior Cost Manager, you will work collaboratively with experienced teams to deliver high-quality results.

Your expertise will be instrumental in driving business growth and expansion.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Participate in the tender/bid process from initial documentation through analysis and reporting.
  2. Manage change management processes, identifying and implementing changes that affect project costs.
  3. Analyze tenders/bids to ensure client value for money.
  4. Assist in preparing and agreeing final accounts, including handling claims to ensure clients receive best value.
  5. Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
  6. Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, clearly communicating variations to your team.
  7. Support nimble project management and clear decision-making through excellent cost documentation and timely communication.
  8. Settle construction disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency.

Requirements
  • Experience as a senior cost manager, preferably from a consultancy background.
  • Pre-contract cost management experience, along with budget control and cost planning expertise.
  • Knowledge of alternative construction materials and estimating experience across large-scale complex projects.
  • Chartered status or on the path to completion.
  • Degree or comparable experience in project management or construction discipline.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
