Job Title: Process Quality Specialist

Job Description:

A global healthcare leader is seeking a Process Quality Specialist to lead Food Safety risk assessment and quality records for escalation on lines as per Global GMP lifecycle policy.

  • Support updates to Food Safety Policy and site HACCP.
  • Facilitate efficient operations within the production area.
  • Optimize existing processes and ensure production goals are met.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Manage and focus directly on GMP food safety engineering/food security and validation, in preparation for commercial production of regulated products.
  • Execute projects related to food safety and optimization of existing manufacturing processes to deliver products with consistent production requirements.
  • Oversee leak management and sanitation response during food safety events, including oversight for sanitation and verification activities.
  • Ensure effectiveness of routine sanitation and cleaning activities.
  • Train shopfloor technicians on food safety requirements.
  • Investigate and address quality events, ensuring CAPA actions are effective.
  • Interface with other departments and suppliers to address root causes.
  • Motivate and train employees for the facility and third-party employees as part of food safety programs.
  • Partner with Engineering on equipment installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance. Co-develop qualification and validation protocols.
  • Execute qualification and validation activities.
  • Lead incident reviews to investigate and correct microbiological non-conformities and provide recommendations regarding process design, product disposition, and continuous improvement.
  • Omit unnecessary documentation for quality systems, cleaning, and validation, SOPs, HACCP plans, and food safety policies and protocols.
  • Evaluate plant Food Safety documentation to ensure it meets all statutory, regulatory requirements & customer expectations.
  • Optimize resource use for producing quality products at an effective operating cost.
  • Comply with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and Procedures.
  • Prepare reports, publish findings, and make presentations to communicate results.
  • Implement, document, and maintain controlled, repeatable production processes.
  • Cultivate internal and external resources to complete tasks efficiently.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering/Mechanical/Electrical/Food Science/Biotechnology/Microbiology and minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality/manufacturing/production, preferably in a GMP environment in food/pharma industry.
