Job Opportunity

The Assistant Japanese Chef role is a crucial position in our kitchen, responsible for preparing Tonkatsu and other Japanese dishes to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head Chef in food preparation and presentation
  • Master various techniques in breading, frying, and plating
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained
  • Manage inventory levels and check ingredient quality
  • Guide and assist junior staff when required
  • Consistently deliver high-quality dishes that meet taste, quality, and presentation expectations
  • Contribute innovative ideas for menu development and seasonal specials

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of cooking experience (Japanese cuisine or frying preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of Japanese ingredients and frying techniques
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and professionalism skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment and follow standard operating procedures
  • Food safety certification is advantageous

Work Environment:

We offer a 5.5-day work week (shift-based, including weekends and public holidays) at a convenient central location near Tanjong Pagar MRT.
