Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned professional to assume a leadership role in our tax advisory team. The Senior Manager will be responsible for spearheading complex tax assignments, including entity restructuring, incentive assessment, and corporate tax compliance.

  • The candidate will lead and/or assist with various tax advisory projects, focusing on legal entity and operational restructuring, tax incentive assessment and application, fund structuring advice, etc.
  • Responsibilities include leading and/or assisting with Japan corporate tax compliance, including liaising with clients for necessary information, preparing/reviewing estimated chargeable income, tax computations, and submitting tax returns, as well as handling queries from regulatory authorities.
  • The ideal candidate will also participate in tax due diligence projects, identifying key tax risks and potential deal breakers, and assist with tax structuring for transactions in line with clients' investment strategies.
  • In addition, the successful candidate will contribute to thought leadership publications and marketing campaigns to amplify our brand presence in Japan.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred.
  • At least 8 years of experience in tax consulting is expected.
  • Holding a License of Japan Tax Accountant and/or Japan CPA is highly desirable.
  • The candidate should possess strong leadership, execution, and coaching skills.
  • Prioritize delivering exceptional client service and exceeding expectations.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Display good writing, analytical, research, and organizational skills.
  • Business-level Japanese language proficiency, including reading Kanji characters.
