About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Professional to join our team. As an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for the complete design of electrical and instrumentation systems from budget estimation through to project completion.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring that all electrical and instrumentation designs are appropriate to the process, the utilities, and the production building. This includes power distribution and availability, application of local electric standards, energy efficiency features, area classification for flammable hazard areas, and consistent interfacing with automation.

You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth and safe execution of work. Your technical expertise will be invaluable in ensuring that installations are done in a safe manner and follow company as well as Singapore standards and any applicable international standards.

In addition to your technical skills, you will also be responsible for coordinating with contractors on testing & commissioning, startup, training, documentation, punch lists tracking, and defects follow up.

Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial IT
  • 4 years experience in application of IEC-Ex standards
  • 5+ years experience in chemical or pharma industry
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in similar project management preferably MNC
About the job

This is a contract position with a duration of 6 months for the design phase followed by a 12 month contract for the construction phase.

The project involves upgrading a chemical manufacturing plant and requires a high level of technical expertise.

As an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for the complete electrical and instrumentation design of the project.

You will work closely with the document controller to ensure that all data, schematics, certificates, and documentation are available and filled in a formal structure.

Shall serve as the technical expert on the client side and ensure that installations are done in a safe manner and follow company as well as Singapore standards as well as any applicable international standards.
