Proactive Cybersecurity Specialist
About the RoleWe are seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Specialist to support our client's Application Risk and Control function. You will be responsible for cybersecurity risk management, IT governance, vendor risk assessments, and risk awareness initiatives, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Support Information & Technology Cyber Risk Management operations.
- Perform IT and vendor risk assessments, manage audit and operational risk issues.
- Recommend remediation measures for in-house developed applications, commercial products, and Cloud platforms.
- Drive risk governance and implementation in alignment with NIST, COBIT, ITIL.
- Conduct risk awareness training, phishing simulation campaigns, and publish security updates.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulations.
- Act as a trusted advisor on risk and control issues.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related discipline.
- 3–7 years' experience in IT risk management, cybersecurity governance, and risk assessments.
- Proven knowledge of NIST, COBIT, ITIL frameworks.
- Experience with vendor risk, audit findings, remediation planning.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCSK, CGEIT.
