Job Overview

The position of UAV Technical Specialist is responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and testing of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and experience with UAV systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and implementation of standard operating procedures.
  • Integration of drones hardware systems.
  • Perform equipment/engineering systems setup.
  • Perform testing/calibration of components and systems.
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of drones.
  • Applying relevant electrical skills in preparation of components.
  • Assist in trial support.
  • Configure and test drone hardware prior to deployment.
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and ensure drone systems meet operational standards.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
  • 0-2 years hands-on experience with drones/UAV systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work in field environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of drone platforms such as DJI, Parrot, senseFly, or custom builds.
  • Familiarity with flight planning software would be advantageous.
