Bus Driver Opportunity

A Bus Driver is a key professional responsible for transporting passengers safely to their destinations. The individual in this role operates buses according to established traffic regulations and company policies.

This position requires the ability to maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus, conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, and effectively communicate with passengers. A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger endorsement is necessary for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a bus safely and efficiently to transport passengers
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
  • Inspect the bus before and after each trip to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus
  • Collect fares and issue tickets or passes as needed
  • Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior
  • Communicate with dispatch and other drivers as needed to coordinate routes and schedules
  • Report any accidents, incidents, or mechanical problems to the appropriate authorities
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid CDL with passenger endorsement
  • Clean driving record with no accidents or violations
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
  • Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Prior experience as a bus driver preferred
  • Good physical health and ability to lift heavy objects
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
