Job Title: Chief Banking Operations Director

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced banking operations professional to lead our team and drive business growth.

  • This is a contract role with a leading global bank, working in Investment Banking Operations / Global Markets Operations.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of what it takes to support a new entity buildout and expand/introduce new products.

This is a highly visible and impactful role for the right candidate.

About the Team

You will be part of a dynamic team that plays a key role in driving market initiatives and regulatory changes.

  • The team's core objective is to deliver service excellence by executing processes in the safest and most efficient way.
  • Around 2,500 staff members work in Global Markets Operations globally.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage operations within a business area and maintain processes, risk management initiatives and compliance with relevant regulators.
  2. Identification of trends and opportunities to improve areas and develop new processes and procedures through the monitoring and analysis of operation data and performance metrics.
  3. Collaboration with internal stakeholders (including business leaders, project manager and SMEs) and external stakeholders (including vendors and service providers) to support business operations and promote alignment with the bank's objectives and SLAs.
  4. Management and development of KPIs to measure the effectiveness of operation functions, utilising data and technology to support the identification of areas that require improvement.
Requirements
  • Strong experience of 10 years or more in Investment Banking Operations / Global Markets Operations and / or Corporate Banking Operations.
  • Demonstrate understanding of regional and local regulations.
  • Demonstrate excellent understanding and knowledge of numerical and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail.
