About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Operations Specialist to join our team in Singapore and Brunei. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient processing of all vendor purchases and staff reimbursements, while maintaining accurate accounting records.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services or an MNC environment. They should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • To support and review the payment process for management expenses, ensuring compliance with regulatory, statutory, and management reporting guidelines.
  • To manage queries from business units regarding payments or Ariba and Concur issues, as well as those from outsourced service providers.
  • To identify opportunities for improving workflow and processes, with a focus on minimizing control weaknesses while enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
  • To participate in discussions related to new business initiatives that impact management expenses, assessing their implications and establishing suitable processes to support business growth.
  • To perform quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
Requirements
  • A qualified Accountant or Diploma holder.
  • Good accounting knowledge.
  • High degree of personal initiative and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Vendor relationship skills.
  • Assertive.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A team player.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in systems implementation/UAT.
  • Prior experience with SAP 6.0 accounting system and Ariba is preferred.
