Job Description

The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of strategic sourcing strategies for plastic commodities, ensuring cost-effective procurement, supplier performance, and risk mitigation while supporting business goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for plastic commodities aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and compliance standards are met.
  • Monitor global market trends, price fluctuations, and supply chain risks in the plastics industry.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through value engineering, alternative sourcing, and long-term supplier partnerships.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and finance teams to align procurement strategies with product development and operational needs.
  • Ensure sourcing practices comply with environmental regulations and support sustainability goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in commodity management or strategic sourcing, preferably in the plastics or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Deep understanding of plastic materials, global supply markets, and sustainability trends.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Epicor) and procurement tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
